Are You Lonesome Tonight?
by Alan
Bleasdale
Elvis, who created songs
which inspired millions of teenagers, remains the key figure on the memories
of those who found a sense of purpose, hope and future then.
His songs and the way he
sang them stays with a generation – a reminder of the joy, excitement,
danger and emotion he stirred. Bleasdale recaptures it all; and the sorrow
too, as the hope fades and the dreams turned to dust.
