Hot Mikado show image

22 May – 13 June
Hot Mikado
book and lyrics adapted by David H Bell
music adapted and arranged by Rob Bowman

A sizzling, swinging musical

East meets West in a hilarious 1940s-style musical, that lovingly updates Gilbert and Sullivan’s classic. With a glorious, high-energy mix of blues, swing, gospel and jive, this all-singing, all-dancing show will blow you away and sweep you off your feet!

It’s wedding day in the Japanese town of Titipu – but who’s marrying who?

The Mikado’s son has got the hots for beautiful Yum-Yum, but she’s engaged to Ko-Ko. Meanwhile that old battleaxe Katisha rears her ugly head to claim the young prince’s hand.
