April – 10 May
twelfth night
by William Shakespeare
A
glittering evening of music, mischief,
comedy and romance
Matters
of the heart are never simple. When Viola falls madly in love with
the dashing Duke Orsino, she finds herself in the middle of a tricky
love triangle. Broken hearts, mistaken identities, unrequited love
and drunken late night parties…
Twelfth
Night is Shakespeare's most musical show. The fun-filled, heart-warming
love story is set aboard a glamorous 1920s ocean liner and is played
to some of the greatest songs from the era, all performed live on
stage. Songs by composers such as Cole Porter and Richard Rodgers
include My Melancholy Baby, What is this Thing Called
Love, Let’s Do It (Let’s Fall in Love)
and many more.
The show is
true to Shakespeare’s glorious original, with plenty of extra
zest and sparkle. Whether you’re a fan of Shakespeare’s
comedies, a sucker for a timeless love story or you just love timeless
classic songs, Twelfth Night is for you. |
