QNext
Following QNew, the QRenew fund has played an important part in helping to re-open the doors of your theatre whenever it’s been safe to do so during the pandemic and helped us to keep delivering vital charitable activity for the community. Thanks to your 70ps since 1 April 2020, we’ve raised an impressive £28,000.
But as we begin to emerge from the pandemic, and in light of the issues highlighted again at the COP 26 UN Climate Change conference, Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch faces new challenges. From 8 November 2021, we’re reallocating the 65p fee on each new ticket purchased to QNext, a capital fund to help us further accelerate carbon reduction and provide increased access for underrepresented audiences and artists.
Through QNext, we’re raising important funds for solar power generation, state-of-the-art LED stage and backstage lighting, insulation and reduced water use, air handling changes, modifications to make the Café more accessible, and captioning equipment for hearing-impaired people.
