What to expect from our Panto – Panto is a fun, family-friendly theatre tradition in the UK, usually performed at Christmas. Based on fairy tales, it’s packed with comedy, music, and audience participation.

Key Features:

The Dame – A comedic, larger-than-life character played by a man in exaggerated female costume and makeup, bringing slapstick and cheeky humour.
Audience participation – Classic shout-outs like “It’s behind you!” and “Oh no it isn’t!” keep the crowd involved.
Slapstick & Wordplay – Silly physical comedy, messy scenes, and jokes for both kids and innuendo for adults.
Modern References – Pop culture jokes and improvisation make each show unique.

Buckle up for a fast-paced family favourite as we race along the riverbank on a musical road trip following the outrageous Toad on his high-speed adventures.

Ratty, Mole, Badger, and a host of other riverbank characters join this heart-warming story of fun and friendship which is sure to get your toes-tapping. But watch out for those Weasels!

Expect attitude, anarchy, and a whole lot of noise. Performed by over 180 youth theatre members, this twist on a classic tale is a musical adventure of boating, motor cars, and daring escapes. Poop, poop!

Papalarny The Magic Man

His mad magic show and fun-loving sense of humour has even the youngest of children shrieking with laughter. The children and their parents find his slapstick, “Tom and Jerry” style magic routines compelling and addictive to watch.

His eccentric suit, Spiderman shirt and teddy bear shoes reflect Papalarny’s personality perfectly, bringing smiles and giggles to the children’s faces on their first encounter with him. Zog is the keenest dragon in Madam Dragon’s school. He’s also the most accident-prone, flying into trees, and even setting his own wing alight. Thankfully, a kind girl comes along to patch up his scratches and scrapes – but can she help him with his biggest challenge yet, so that he can finally win a golden star?

This charming smash-hit show, from the producers of Stick Man and Zog and the Flying Doctors and featuring joyful songs by Joe Stilgoe with beautiful puppets by Little Angel, is a treat for children and adults alike.

‘Family Knees Up’

After a sell-out show last year, Tom Carradine returns for a Family Knees Up in Hornchurch. Tom leads from behind his piano ‘Kimberley’, and will get you and your little ones Doing the Lambeth Walk, pondering How Much is That Doggy in the Window, marching with inflatable bananas “Down The Strand” and much more!

A zany, interactive family event full of family favourites you’ll want to sing along with. Enhanced by bubbles, puppets and plenty of audience participation it’s a great morning out for adults, babies and children aged 0 – 100.
