Papalarny The Magic Man – Jan 2027

His mad magic show and fun-loving sense of humour has even the youngest of children shrieking with laughter. The children and their parents find his slapstick, “Tom and Jerry” style magic routines compelling and addictive to watch.

His eccentric suit, Spiderman shirt and teddy bear shoes reflect Papalarny’s personality perfectly, bringing smiles and giggles to the children’s faces on their first encounter with him. His wacky magic show is complemented by a dazzling mini-disco party (one hour parties or longer) to get the children singing and dancing and enjoy an abundance of snow and bubbles.

The Selfish Giant

But the Giant is cross. He returns to find children – children! – playing happily in his beautiful orchard.

Every day after school, they laugh and play games under the blossom trees. So he puts up a big wall to put a stop to all the fun. Then winter seizes the garden in its icy fingers…

How will summer ever come back?

Through storytelling, interactive games, live music, and puppetry, Riding Lights Theatre Company brings you The Selfish Giant – a wonderful play for family audiences (perfect for those 3+) and inspirational tale of love and generosity.

Riding Lights Theatre Company makes theatre that makes a difference. As a charity we have toured to communities across the UK, performing in churches, schools, prisons, theatres, and on the streets for nearly 50 years. The company, shaped by a Christian ethos, our work is inclusive, accessible and welcoming to all. We seek to joyfully inspire audiences of every kind to engage with ideas surrounding creativity, faith and social justice.

Young MacDonald Wants a Farm

When Young MacDonald is left in charge of his dad’s farm while he’s away on holiday, he’s certain he can manage. After all, how hard can it be to look after a few animals? Quite hard, it turns out.

As things begin to spiral into cheerful chaos, the audience is invited to help Young MacDonald make sense of the sounds, rhythms, and routines of farm life. Featuring live music with a bold electronic edge, immersive soundscapes, catchy original songs, gentle clowning, and lots of audience interaction, the show creates a joyful world where music, play, and imagination collide.

Designed as the perfect introduction to live theatre and music, Young MacDonald Wants a Farm delights very young children while keeping grown-ups entertained too. Best described as part gig, part game show, part theatre show – and one part joyful madness, it’s a lively, inclusive experience that celebrates curiosity, creativity, and the wonderful noise of things not quite going to plan.

Determined to find the singer, Whale embarks on an unforgettable adventure – diving through glowing coral caves, dodging wibbly jellyfish and facing wild-eyed sea monsters! But will he ever find a friend who hears his song?

Join Hoglets Theatre for an exciting deep-sea adventure packed with beautiful puppets, hilarious sea creatures, original songs and lots of audience interaction! The Tale of the Loneliest Whale is a magical, interactive show that celebrates friendship, difference and the beauty of being yourself.

At its heart, this is a story about neurodiversity, about how being different can be lonely, but also beautiful. The play was developed through workshops and conversations with children, including those with experience of autism, ADHD and other forms of neurodivergence. Their insights shaped everything from the characters, music and story structure to the sensory elements and pacing of the show.
