Genesis Dance Project & New Work

Performed by New English Ballet Theatre

After a hugely successful 2022 season, New English Ballet Theatre returns with a dynamic mixed bill of eight works to music from Baroque to Pop, choreographed by six successful choreographers.

These include British choreographer and director Peter Leung and NEBT’s Assistant Director and Associate Choreographer, Daniela Cardim. After achieving international acclaim for her 2022 ballets Stabat Mater and Reset, she is creating a new work to music by Johann Sebastian Bach.

The programme also features the world premiere of the electrifying Genesis Dance Project, a collection of works by four different choreographers, set to six songs by legendary band Genesis. Created with the band’s generous permission, this modern-day ballet features a broad range of choreographic styles, imaginative costumes, and spectacular imagery, showcasing some of Genesis’ most iconic pop and rock hits.

The work includes The Cinema Show by Ruth Brill, Firth of Fifth by Valentino Zucchetti, I Can’t Dance and Invisible Touch by Kristen McNally, and Ripples and Watcher of the Skies by Wayne Eagling.

New English Ballet Theatre (NEBT) is a dynamic, critically acclaimed ballet company. Founded in 2010, NEBT is dedicated to creating exceptional dance experiences for the widest possible audience. Working with a range of emerging, developing and established choreographers, designers and artists, NEBT has built a solid repertoire of works that represent the versatility and significance of ballet today.
