Let’s Celebrate 75 years of the Wynne School of Dancing

Come and celebrate 75 years of dance with Havering’s oldest established family dance school. This performance is dedicated to the life, memory and work of Miss Freda Wynne who started the school back in 1948 in the family dining room with just a handful of pupils!
 
Thousands of children and adults have been a part of the school’s story, many having gone on to professional careers. So, let’s celebrate the joy of dance together in this colourful performance showcasing the whole school. … 5 6 7 8 !

Witness Snow White given new life in Michael Pink’s shadowy retelling, Mirror, Mirror and be captivated by Dextera’s exploration of the Pygmalion myth created by Sophie Laplane. Be the first to see new choreography from rising star Morgann Runacre-Temple and all new work from distinguished contemporary choreographer Darshan Singh Bhuller, all in Ballet Central on tour.

Images Ballet Company return to the stage to present a diverse programme of four newly commissioned dance works. Vibrant dancing complimented with stylish costume and a rich musical palette Images Ballet Company promises a performance that will entertain and surprise ballet lovers and newcomers to dance alike. Directed by former Royal Ballet dancer Larissa Bamber and presented by London Studio Centre, one of the country’s most prestigious performing arts colleges.

Macbeth and Romeo & Juliet: A Shakespeare Double Bill

Macbeth in 40 minutes? Romeo & Juliet in 40 minutes? Both shows performed by only 4 actors in one evening!

440 Theatre are back with their ‘Double Bill’ for 2023. Not to be missed! You might have seen Shakespeare before but never like this! Four Forty have been delighting audiences up and down the country with its fast-paced, in-your-face, hysterically funny productions. Offering an alternative take on some of the world’s most famous plays, their inimitable style and charisma has set them apart as one of the most hungry and playfully ambitious travelling troupes!

Act One sees the 440 team wrestle with a side-splitting Macbeth (Yes, a comedy!) followed by an even more outrageous Romeo & Juliet in Act Two. 440 Theatre is 4 actors delivering exciting, engaging and energetic pieces of theatre in 40 minutes! Performing in spaces great and small, their work is playful but never lacks focus.

Stripping the narrative to its core we keep the essence of Shakespeare’s words alive to help his magnificent stories shine at the heart of our shows.
